Walking Through Fire

Happy Friday! I love music. That is a fact you will quickly figure out if you're around me long enough.😉 Music is a wonderful way to worship the Lord and draw our hearts to Him. I am going to start doing posts where I will share a song that has spoken to me, and I hope it will speak to you as well.  You know, we all have our own trials and needs. Some of us may need provision in a certain area right now, some may be seeking answers to prayers, some may be needing the calm of a raging sea, and the list goes on. No matter what fire we may walk through in life, Jesus has promised to walk with us and keep us.

More Winter Storm Pics!

Image
I took some more random pictures from the first few days of this week that I thought I'd share!☺️ Trees are so beautiful in winter weather. Had a little friend during my Bible reading Sunday morning.☺️ We did not have church due to the weather, so we did a little service at home and had a late lunch. After that, we kids bundled up and took a walk in the neighborhood!🧣🧤❄️ Some blue sky peeking through the clouds. It's kinda hard to see, but I took this picture doing an impromptu hockey game between Jared and I with golf clubs, a golf ball, and an icy golf course.😁 I won, 2-1!🥳 ~~~~ Monday morning Amanda and I went on a morning walk. A tasty breakfast... ...and lunch.😋 Aunt Lynn and I spent a fun afternoon filled with games and movies! We started with Yahtzee and played Uno afterwards. My first roll came out to a large straight in perfect order.😱 Miss Yahtzee Queen!😄 Daniel Boone! And we wrapped up with laughs from The Three Stooges.😂 ~~~~ My first sleetman! I named him ...

🌨Winter Storm🥶

Image
Last Monday I learned to my delight that we were in for a winter storm over the weekend! They were predicting a good amount of ice which would make it likely we would lose power at our house. So, we packed some things and headed for Pap and Nana's for the storm. It started Friday evening and I woke up yesterday morning to this beautiful, white sight...⬇️😁 I got outside as quick as I could! I wrote "SNOW" but it is actually mostly sleet.😂 I had just got some winter boots a couple weeks ago and I hoped that would bring on some snow...😁❄️ Jared, Sarah, and I worked on some mailers while we were snowed in. Jared is the chairman of our county's Republican committee and Sarah is a member with yours truly about to become one.😁 At our next meeting, Jared is having an Arkansas Supreme Court Justice come and speak(he is a current Justice and running for reelection). Our committee is pretty small, so Jared had the idea of sending flyer mailers to Nevada county Republican vo...

Don't Miss The Sunset🌅

Image
I saw a breath taking sunset yesterday evening...the pictures do not do justice to how it looked standing in an open field with colorful clouds blanketing the sky overhead. It made me think of a song I heard recently, Don't Miss The Sunset. Vs. 1 I've taught you so many things straight from my heart,  How to have fun and work really hard,  I taught you to swim in the deep end,  To catch fireflies and be a good friend. Vs. 2 I've learned from experience life is a gift,  So don't move too fast and don't ever quit,  And when the rain falls don't lose the awe, Of God in the center, of storms one and all. Chorus: So take time to laugh, to live with this day,  Run through the daisies, dance in the rain,  Live every moment with no regret,  And whatever you do...don't miss the sunset. Vs. 3 You can reach for the rainbow with its pot of gold,  Have more fame in riches than your hands can hold, But don't get too busy chasing your dreams,  That you...

New Year/Christmas Celebration!!

Image
First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!🎊2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣🎊 We had a very blessed and full Dec. 31 - Jan. 5. All the times with family and friends were priceless and we made every minute count!  I made some cookies one evening in preparation for all the festivities that week! We kids celebrated NYE by staying up till midnight watching a movie.😁 It was about a 3 hour movie and we started it at 9pm, so the timing was perfect and we finished it shortly before the clock struck 12am. We did a count down of the last 10 seconds of 2025! Anybody recognize the movie?😁 The Great Escape(or, as Jared likes to call it...The Great Capture.🙄😄). One of my favorite WWII movies! On NYD, we went over to our friends, the Harbours, and enjoyed spending the day with them. We had just taken a walk when this picture was taken. Playing "The Circle Game."😁 Everyone sits in age order in a circle and then random questions are asked and everybody goes around and gives an answer. There were some really good qu...
