Alabama Trip!πŸš™☺️

Image
The third weekend of April, my parents and Sarah and I made a trip to Auburn, Alabama. John has been temporarily living down there for the past two months to be closer to his girlfriend, Lydia Craft, and her family. There were kinda three reasons that took us there...of course, to visit with John and Lydia and her family, and then Dad recently discovered a small family cemetery outside of Atlanta GA(which is just about two hours from where Lydia lives) and he wanted to go back and clean it up a little. Lastly, there was going to be a concert in the area that Friday night by Ernie Haase and Signature Sound. I started listening to them about a year ago and instantly fell in love with their music. This concert would be the first time for me to see them in person...I will be honest and say that was the main reason I wanted to take the trip.πŸ˜‰ Packed and ready to go Thursday early afternoon! We got to Auburn about 10:30 that evening. It's about an 8-9 hour drive.  ~~~ Friday morning Dad...

Introducing...🐈‍⬛😻

Image
Introducing the newest members of the animal family at our house...Sue and Myles Leland III(tentative names at least...we're pretty sure it's a boy and girl but if not, the names will definitely be altered a tad😜)!! This was Pumpkin's first litter. She had 8 kitties, but unfortunately only two made it.πŸ˜•  This little guy struggled a lot the first day. He wouldn't nurse so I bottle fed him a little until he finally got the hang of it later that day.  ❤️ We think that the black and white one is a boy and the grey/black striped is a girl. That faceπŸ₯° Pumpkin hid her kitties several days ago, we think underneath the house. Hopefully she will bring them back out soon! ~Grace

Life Lately - March/April

Image
Jared and I spent an evening at the end of March taking a walk at Spring Lake Park, eating at Whataburger, and bowling! We played four games with each of us winning two. Of course, this was the game score I took a picture ofπŸ˜‰ We have(or hadπŸ˜‰ more about that in a coming post) a pregnant cat!πŸ₯° Pumpkin has always been an affectionate cat but she got really clingy towards the end of her pregnancy and would climb into your lap any chance she got. Evening walk with Aunt Lynn.😊 We got to see several deer in the neighborhood! I recently decorated the window sill in our room at Pap and Nana's and I love it!😁⚾️πŸ—½πŸŒΊπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Reading/movie day with Ms. Barbara. We are currently going through Ronald Reagan's autobiography(it's been really good!!) and nowadays we typically watch a dvd concert of Ernie Haase and Signature Sound.πŸ˜‰ We went to see A Great Awakening  with some friends recently. I love the theatre experience! The sky was so pretty when we came out of the theatre. A few of us ...

🎢The Me I'll Never Know🎢

A song that has been on my mind recently is "The Me I'll Never Know" sung by the Kingsmen Quartet. It talks of the story our lives might have told without God's salvation. I praise God that I was raised in a Christian home and heard and accepted the gospel at a young age, but my story could easily have been different. Around me I see so many lives broken and lost and I know it's only by the grace of God I am not one of those hopeless souls. I don't say all this to be prideful about how my story has played out...though I have no dramatic story of how the Lord saved me from sin, I say with Paul that I am the chief of sinners saved only by the grace of God. But the unknown of how my life could have been so different strongly moves me. May we never take for granted the blessings He bestows on us. The Me I'll Never Know Vs. 1 Who knows just where I could have been, bound by the weight of all my sin  So far from grace so far from hope  Who knows just where I...

Resurrection Sunday✝️πŸŒ…πŸ™πŸ»

Happy Resurrection Day!! He is risen!  Yesterday was a very special time celebrating the victory Jesus won by rising from the dead. Recently I have been thinking on the mind blowing truth that if Jesus had come down from the cross like the Jews were mocking Him to do, or if the stone had never been rolled away from the tomb, we would be lost forever...the song "If Sunday Had Not Come" has a line that says, "eternity would be eternally gone." I'm so thankful He loved us enough to stay on the cross, to rise from the dead, even though we don't deserve it and could never earn it. Death lost and life won on that day of resurrection. Oh, what a Savior!! "Then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory. O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15:54-55, 57 "He is not here; for He is ri...
