Random life // Sunday Brownies😋

 

How can you get more random than a post about brownies??😆🤔😂 The little brownie incident we had today cracked me up so much that I couldn't resist sharing it...I hope it makes you smile and even laugh today.🙃 

I was in the middle of making meatballs for our Sunday spaghetti lunch(or dinner...whatever you call eating at 2:30😁) and rolling them into little balls on a pan. Jared walked in and commented:

Jared: "Those are some weird looking cookies you're making."
Me: *takes hint* "Would you like me to make you a dessert?"
Jared: *points to my cup sitting on the counter* 👇🏻


Jared: "I would be able to do that 👆🏻 a whole lot easier if you did."

By this time, I've lost it.😂 I have never been so uniquely asked to make a dessert before. Brownies is my go-to dessert to whip up and Jared happens to love them(who doesn't?!), so I proceeded to get the ingredients together.
As I was stirring everything together, I began to treasure the moment instead of having the attitude, "I gotta make brownies AGAIN!", because they are often requested and I am the brownie maker.😉 I reminded myself that one day Jared would move into his own house and wouldn't be here to ask for brownies on Sunday afternoon in the middle of lunch prep. So yeah! I got a good laugh and a good lesson from the whole event!😁 Treasure your siblings while they live with you...one day they'll move out and the relationship you make now will keep you together in heart even while a part!😊🥰🤍

    I love this post, Grace!! This little story reminds me so very much of a certain big brother of my own who also knows how to make great hints about food!😉😁 These "daily memories" together are so special to look back on, even as the seasons change.     This is such a sweet post! 🥰 I’ve had almost this same story happen to me, although it’s usually my sweet little brother asking to “help” me make Apple pie. 🥧 I know it will take a long time, but those requests are opportunities for some great memories. That pan of brownies looks absolutely delicious! 😋 😍

      Aw, brothers are awesome😊 I've never cooked with one, but I can just imagine the friendly bickering that would go back and forth...😜 An apple pie sounds really good right now😄🥧

✨ SHINE like a STAR ✨

  I wanted to go a little deeper behind the name  Shine!  I briefly gave the background in the last post as to why I decided to go with that theme for this blog, but I wanted to dedicate a whole post to it.  There is a certain couple and song that became very dear to me this year that inspired this theme of Shine! The couple may come as a shock; they are Roy and Dale (Evans) Rogers. You may know them from their famous westerns, which is where I first learned about them. I quickly fell in love with their shows and as I love learning facts about favorite actors, I began to delve more into their story and it changed my life. I want to dedicate some later posts on reviewing their autobiography/books, but for now, let me just say that they were two amazing people whom God brought together and then ultimately brought them to Himself to use for His glory. March Concerts!

We recently enjoyed three Southern Gospel concerts near us! SG groups don't often get down our way so I'm really thankful God allowed these opportunities this month to hear our favorite music!😊 Every night was so very encouraging as each group put Christ in the center of their concert and we heard songs of God's salvation and the reward of heaven one day. I was reminded as I sat there and listened with joy to the encouraging music...that this amazing music was just a very small shadow of the glorious music all the saved will sing around the throne in heaven one day.🤍 Truly what a day that will be!  Enjoy a few photos for a recap!😁🎤🎶🎹 On our way to hear...
